The Batman (2022)
Re: The Batman (2022)

Batman293 a écrit : ↑27 janv.

Re: The Batman (2022)
"The nature of what this place is and the history of it is critically important to our story. One of the things that I really wanted to do because it is the center of the story, especially the history of corruption in the city, was I wanted to present it in a way that was really fleshed out. I wanted it to feel like an American city you'd never been to.
"Obviously, the Burton one had very, very theatrical, beautiful, beautiful sets, and Nolan had the version that he created in Batman Begins, and that was a particular thing and then parts of Chicago and parts of Pittsburgh. What we're trying to do is create a version of it that you haven't seen before."
"So some of the locations that we've chosen, the idea is to take, let's say, like a Gotham square. So that's like Times Square, right? Now, if we shot it in Times Square, then you'd be like, 'I guess Gotham is New York.' But in our case, it's actually going to be Liverpool."
"The idea is to go to Liverpool, where there's all the foundation of the Gothic architecture, and then add all of the more modern structures in through CG, but in a way that when you see the movie, now that I've blown it, of course, I've told you what it is, but you'll be like, 'Hey! Where's that city? Where do they shoot?' and so, the aspect of Gotham and realizing it has been for me one of the great pleasures in getting to mount the movie.""

Re: The Batman (2022)
Re: The Batman (2022)
Tellement cool.
Re: The Batman (2022)
"The film begins at a point where Bruce Wayne and Alfred's relationship is very strained, you could even say fragile. Alfred desperately tries to stop him from making the wrong decisions, but Bruce separates himself more & more from Alfred in order to live in his own world. This, in turn, makes Alfred painfully aware that he will never be the father figure he was meant to be to Bruce Wayne. It's a burden he has to carry."
"The role was like my personality. I'm very down-to-earth myself. I was also intrigued by the possibility of playing a character who failed in his parental aspirations - an aspect that Matt also wanted to emphasize very strongly."
"He's an excellent code-breaker & an intelligence expert. All of this is no coincidence, given that Alfred has a background to match: he used to be a member of the SAS."
"He's a total human wreck, living in wealth but unable to escape his own hell. Above all, he is often driven by personal motivations - he cannot yet separate himself from them. He's always on the verge of crossing the line that separates himself from the villains."
Reeves donne sa vision de Gotham City :
"Gotham City is almost as dark as the soul of Batman. Batman has always been a reaction to the quintessentially positive Superman. In a way, he embodies the dark side of a superhero. Accordingly, it makes sense that Gotham City is also a dark place eaten up by corruption and crime. This is by no means without reason, as the actions of the Riddler show us. After all, he doesn't kill his victims indiscriminately, but each has contributed their part to the current state of Gotham City. Batman too, must recognize this, as he is forced to question his own history in order to discover the true nature of the city."

Re: The Batman (2022)
